Microsoft July Security Bulletins

Today is Patch Tuesday at Microsoft. There are seven new and updated bulletins labeled from Moderate to Critical: MS04-022, which fixes a vulnerability in the Windows Task Scheduler, MS04-023, which fixes a code execution vulnerability in IE 6 SP1, MS04-019, which fixes a vulnerability in Windows Utility Manager, MS04-020, which fixes a code execution vulnerability in the POSIX subsystem, MS04-021, which is a security update for IIS 4.0, MS04-024, which fixes a code execution vulnerability in the Windows Shell, and MS04-018, which is a cumulative security update for Outlook Express. You can get these security patches from here, but it might be best to just go to the Windows Update site (Microsoft's or your own Software Update Service server) for each of your systems and allow the service to pick and choose which updates you need. Whew, that's a lot of patches!
